Responsible for administering compensation for both Clinical and Corporate sides of Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG). Analyzes compensation data within the organization and evaluates jobs to determine exemption status and total cash compensation mix. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state compensation laws and regulations.
I. Position Responsibilities: Essential
Clinician & Corporate: oEnsures OBHG’s compliance with federal and state compensation wage and hour laws and regulations. Recommends adjustments to policies and practices as needed. oAdministration and maintenance of job classification and titles. Ensures alignment of wording and codes and communicates these to Accounting. oAdministers and maintains salary bench-marking software to house and maintain job titles and market matches and all survey data. Utilizes the system for merit modeling as needed. •Clinician-Specific: oMaintains current and reliable geographic market data for all current locations. Shares information with Operational team as needed. oProvides wage recommendations to the Pricing team for proposals and RFP’s. Develops and maintains a process to ensure these recommendations balance internal equity with external wage rates. oProvides wage recommendations to Operations and Data Analytics for program renewals and contract changes. Develops and maintains a process to ensure these recommendations balance internal equity with external wage rates. oCoordinates and conducts monthly compensation touch-points for each regional team to discuss wages at new programs, renewals, market pressures, and other compensation related items. Follows up on action items as needed. oCoordinates and calculates quarterly performance pay (QPP) for eligible Physicians. •Corporate-Specific: oMarket prices all jobs and makes recommendations for placement in salary grade. Creates and maintains salary structure/pay grade system. oWorks with other members of HR for pay recommendations and processing of internal moves, such as promotions, reclassifications, and the creation of new jobs. oDevelops and maintains process for equity analysis for Corporate positions and makes budgetary recommendations as needed. oOversees administration of performance review system from a technical standpoint—launching evaluations, ensuring completion, and obtaining scores. oRecommends annual merit budget, develops merit increase matrix, calculates increase amount, and administers merit increase process. oAdministration of all corporate bonus programs, including maintenance of plan documents, approval of payments, and process flow for payments. This includes, but is not limited to LIP, Clinical Recruitment, RCM, and Commission. •Other duties as assigned.
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field •5 years of experience within Compensation and/or Human Resources. •Knowledge of federal and state laws (FLSA, Equal Pay Act, etc.) affecting compensation for exempt and non-exempt employees. •Knowledge of HRIS/Payroll systems. •Understanding of the market pricing process and use of salary bench-marking software. •Knowledge of performance management process and design as well as merit modeling and budgeting •Excellent communication skills. •Excellent customer support focus
•Compensation experience in a healthcare or hospital environment. •Experience with Physician compensation •Experience with short term incentive program administration •Master’s degree preferred. •CCP, PHR or SPHR preferred
