The City of Naperville is currently seeking an exceptional Sr. Compensation Analyst to work in our Human Resources Department. Reporting directly to the HR Director, this individual will provide professional, analytical and technical compensation support to the organization.
The Senior Compensation Analyst will design, implement, and coordinate employee compensation and job evaluation programs and framework (including variable pay and employee bonus program strategies) and a total compensation strategy. Other key responsibilities include:
Advise senior management regarding the development of compensation budgets, strategic plans and annual merit matrices.
Serve as the organization’s Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) subject matter expert.
Conduct salary surveys and compile and analyzes the data ensuring data integrity.
Recommends and collaborates with staff in the development and implementation of compensation and benefit plans.
Performs job evaluation and classification studies. Considers external market and internal comparable data.
Assists HR Generalists as the subject matter expert on a variety of compensation related issues.
Investigates and evaluates overall compensation issues (including compression) and makes related recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of five year’s compensation experience.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Graduate work or an advanced degree in a related field preferred.
