Children’s Hospital Colorado is currently seeking an experienced compensation professional to join our Total Rewards team as a Performance Management Consultant at our main campus in Aurora, CO.
In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to the organization on compensation and performance management best practices and internal processes. In partnership with your team, you will be responsible for managing the annual performance management process and various incentive plans. Additionally, you will be responsible for continuing the integration of a new performance management tool and related processes, including development and delivery of end-user training and making recommendations for continual system enhancements to ensure alignment with organizational philosophies, goals and objectives.
Conducts research into compensation and performance management best practices, evaluates internal processes and results against philosophy and objectives, and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborates with various strategic business partners to administer the annual performance management process by developing internal timelines and communications, managing risks and obstacles and reporting on progress to stakeholders.
Conducts research into incentive pay practices and designs incentive plans organization-wide or for specific business units.
Researches, identifies risk and organizational impact, develops, recommends and implements changes to complex compensation policies and practices.
Develops merit forecast and budget recommendations to ensure alignment with organizational philosophy for pay delivery.
Provides advice and guidance to organizational leaders in defining goals and performance standards, evaluating performance, and allocating merit increases.
Creates compensation and/or performance management communications and disseminates across the enterprise.
Delivers and delivers compensation and/or performance management training for all levels of employees, including the use of compensation and performance management tools.
Interprets and explains HR policies, practices, and procedures to all levels of employees.
Acts as a performance management tool subject matter expert and recommends changes to business processes to support system enhancements. Trouble shoots system related problems and leads implementation of compensation and/or performance management changes in various HR systems.
Supports employee, management and executive compensation review by completing salary survey requests, reviewing and providing feedback on market analysis, and developing cost analyses. Provides compensation support to on-boarding and separation practices.
We require a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance or a related field with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience administering compensation and performance management programs. Combination of post-high school education and related experience equivalent to eleven (11) years may be considered in lieu of minimum qualifications.
Previous experience working in the healthcare industry in addition to designation as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is highly desirable.

Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and HRIS platforms, such as PeopleSoft.
Ability to understand and write Excel formulas, such as VLOOKUP and IF/AND/THEN statements, is highly desirable.
Ability to demonstrate skill in influencing leaders, including persuading or convincing others to support an idea, agenda or direction.
