JOB SUMMARY The Global Compensation Lead will focus on the development and implementation of effective and equitable compensation plans, initiatives, and strategies. Overall day to day work may include job evaluations, assessment and interpretation of salary data, and participation in compensation surveys. The role will provide guidance and policy interpretation to managers and HR Business Partners, also assisting in compensation projects including incentive and Sales Compensation plan design and documentation, developing of efficient compensation processes, and development of salary structures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Works on a variety of compensation projects as assigned including program design, analysis, cost analysis, guidelines and procedures. • Participates in annual performance appraisal, merit and bonus processes including promotion and off-cycle compensation requests. • Provides and maintains frameworks to support management and executive decision making relative to compensation programs, including compensation budgets, pay structures, job grading and evaluation methodologies, guidelines and tools for measuring effectiveness. • Manages the annual compensation review process for merit, bonus and equity. • Develops training and education materials for various audiences, promoting and supporting the compensation program; and delivers compensation training presentations. • Compiles and analyzes salary surveys and obtain comprehensive market data to market price the positions and compare internally to company positions. Recommend new position pay levels based on research and conclusions made from compiled research and client input. • Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of compensation policy, procedures, practices, and programs. • Provides strategic oversight, leadership and expertise ensuring that all compensation and pay practices are compliant with all pertinent regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, those enforced by the Department of Labor. • Responsible for monitoring and development of special reward and incentive programs, including sales incentives, as needed.
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree • Minimum of 7 years of advanced professional experience in compensation administration required • Demonstrated strong oral and written communications • Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations and legislation related to employee compensation • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
OTHER INFORMATION • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or closely related discipline a plus • Experience with Sales compensation a plus • CEBS and PHR designation a plus • Experience designing, implementing and managing a global mobility program is strongly preferred
