Acting as an internal consultant, the position will be responsible for providing strategic support to the design and development of complex compensation programs that support the business strategy across the enterprise. Requires deep subject matter expertise and experience leading projects. This role will work closely with HR business partners and business leaders across the enterprise in the development of base pay, variable pay, merit, and other key programs that support the Company’s talent strategy.
The Total Rewards Consultant must be a proven, results-oriented expert who will have experience partnering with HR business partners and management to assist with developing and driving comprehensive compensation strategies for the business. The ideal candidate will not only be well versed in the underlying data but also have the ability and experience in summarizing and reporting out to senior management. This role also requires building and managing relationships across a wide variety of client groups based on influence, execution-focus, teamwork, and business acumen.
To fulfill this role, the Consultant will:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of business issues and priorities; effectively analyze and diagnose problems; provide clear advice and recommendations to help client make sound compensation decisions
Advise and influence management level business partners in compensation strategy, programs and issues
Plan, organize, and manage compensation plan design projects ensuring efficient and effective utilization of resources in addition to serving as compensation subject matter expert
Develop compensation strategies, market pricing, employee base pay and incentive plan communications
Prepare materials for Compensation Committee meetings
Administer core compensation processes (i.e. forecasting, market studies, incentive design/funding/allocation) - plan, build and successfully execute
Ensure compliance/sustainability of talent structure framework as it relates to aligned titles/grades/bonus
Build strong relationships with line of business and key control partners to drive a sustainable compensation review process and facilitate problem solving to ensure objectives are being met
Compile, create, and summarize/analyze information (including survey results, market data, etc.) clearly and concisely to guide fact-based decisions
Proactively monitor, track and evaluate effectiveness of various compensation programs
Education and Experience Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in business management, HR, or related field. MBA preferred.
· Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
· Minimum five (5) years’ Compensation, Human Resources Data Analysis or related experience.
· Pay Factors experience highly desired
