The Executive Compensation Consultant will be responsible to support the design and administration of State Street’s global executive compensation programs. Further, the incumbent will be responsible to identify compensation design issues unique to State Street and work with the compensation team in the design and roll out of new initiatives.
Assist in the preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors (BOD) including taking the lead to develop and present analyses, information, and rationale to leadership in preparation for Committee meetings.
Conduct comprehensive analyses of current and potential executive compensation programs and prepare summaries of financial and design implications.
Analyze, summarize, and provide implications/ recommendations on executive compensation, perquisites, and other compensation at peer and competitor companies.
Ensure the flawless implementation of all executive programs for executive officers including administration, improvement of existing processes, and individualized/ custom solutions.
Provide support for the development and administration of total compensation communication materials to executives which may include retirement plans, perquisites and all other executive benefits.
Understand and apply tax regulations, labor and Securities and Exchange Commission laws, Sarbanes Oxley, financial reporting requirements such as 409A and 162m, and all other regulatory requirements. Ensure the design and administration of compensation programs are in compliance with internal governance issues. Understand the global and in-country implications of executive compensation.
Work with outside consultants and legal counsel in the development and implementation of compensation programs and the communication thereof.
Act as an internal resource to leadership on executive compensation issues. Ensure any questions from executives are researched and a timely response prepared.
Work closely with the legal, risk, and finance organizations in the design and administration of compensation plans.
Provide support for the design and administration of BOD compensation program.
At least 3 - 5 years of hands on experience at a best of class company or consulting firm.
Strong preference for experience in executive compensation; global executive compensation experience preferred.
Ability to apply critical thinking to the analysis of information and make recommendations accordingly.

Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required.
