The Senior Analyst, Total Rewards is responsible to ensure that total rewards programs are externally competitive, internally equitable and support the attraction, development and retention of Invenergy talent. The incumbent will research, analyze, evaluate and administer compensation and benefits programs to meet the organization’s business and human resource strategies.
Maintain compensation structure through participation in salary surveys, analysis of market movement and evaluation of all new and redesigned job descriptions for accurate pay grade. Ensure relevant materials are updated in Workday.
Lead the annual merit planning process.
Evaluate medical claims data for trends and recommend appropriate plan design changes, products and wellness programs to best serve the needs of employees and reduce overall plan cost.
Design, troubleshoot and administer benefit integrations between benefit enrollment site, payroll and benefit vendors.
Reconcile benefit vendor invoices with internal enrollment records and submit to accounting for payment or wire transfer. Includes funding of self-insured medical plan and retirement
Support Human Resource Business Partners and employees, of assigned business units, with compensation and benefits issue resolution, recognize trends and proactively recommend process and or system improvements.
Partner with Recruiting and organizational leaders in the development of equitable salary offers within the compensation structure. Ensure that requests for pay adjustments comply with current compensation guidelines. Evaluate requests for exceptions to guidelines and make recommendations.
Partner with marketing, IT, legal and external resources to develop well-produced compensation and benefit communication materials that are distributed via multiple communication channels.
Develop, monitor, analyze compensation and benefit costs and performance against benchmark data. Recommend new and/or revised plans that are cost effective and support ability to attract and retain targeted talent pool.
Educational and Background Requirement
Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Finance, or closely related field or equivalent work experience in human resources. Master’s Degree Preferred
Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in area of HR, particularly related to compensation, benefits, retirement and leave administration
Prefer 3 years of experience as a Benefits Analyst within a consulting firm.
Project Management Experience
Familiarity of HR Management Systems, working knowledge of Workday preferred
Experience with short term incentive and sales incentive plans preferred
CCP, CBP or CEBS certification preferred
Knowledge of all applicable state and federal laws; FLSA, ERISA, Affirmative Action, ACA
Experienced in the management of a self-insured and / or fully insured model.
Demonstrated ability to partner with business units to understand the business needs and develop suitable reward programs.
