Salem Health is currently seeking a talented Manager, Compensation, Benefits, and/or HR Systems to join our team!
The Mgr, Compensation, Benefits, and/or HRIS is responsible for managing the organization's compensation, benefits, and/or HR Systems teams and providing operational oversight of all related programs. (The final decision on assigned functions will be based upon final candidate’s qualifications.) The manager will evaluate programs and make recommendations on potential modifications to maintain the organization's objectives and competitive position in the marketplace while simultaneously utilizing our Lean management system to gain ongoing efficiencies in program offerings.
Core Job Functions Include:
Team Management • Provide day-to-day oversight of compensation, benefits, and/or HR systems staff and processes. Ensure staff are adequately trained and adhere to organizational policies and procedures. • Provide technical guidance on a variety of compensation and/or benefits programs. Serve as escalation point for compensation, benefits, and/or systems issues as needed. • Facilitate and remove roadblocks for desired Lean work and results.
Program Evaluation and Design • Conduct on-going evaluation of assigned functions for the organization, including participation in the design of all programs spanning Total Rewards. Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders on program design recommendations and implementations. • Build and maintain relationships with outside compensation, benefits, and or systems vendors, consultants, and personal network to maximize organizational gain.

Minimum Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field required. • Master’s Degree preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive compensation, benefits, and/or HR systems individual contributor experience (or any combination of three functions totaling at least five years) • CCP, CBP or PBP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Include:
• Thorough understanding of compensation and/or benefit programs and design required. • Leadership compensation program knowledge preferred. • Physician compensation program knowledge preferred. • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations regarding benefits programs and administration required. • Proficiency in HR systems required with depth in systems design and administration preferred. • Excellent communication and team-building required.
