Provides professional administration of enterprise benefit programs that support employee engagement and organizational compliance. Analyzes benefit programs in the context of total rewards and makes recommendations to support Human Resources strategy and company initiatives. Facilitates program training and education to HR team, management and employees.
Serves as the primary daily administrative contact for the enterprise employee savings 401(k) plan and the executive deferred compensation plan. Advises employees on enrollment, beneficiary, deferral and distribution transactions in accordance with plan documents. Collaborates and consults with payroll as necessary to ensure program compliance. Assists plan administrator with coordinating oversight committee activities.
Leads Executive Benefit orientation sessions.
Coordinates benefit plans and policies communications to ensure the biggest return and to educate the employee population about both the content and the value of the programs being provided.
Collaborates with leadership on strategic benefit development and provide detailed recommendations for implementation of new programs or the modifications of existing programs.
Partners with management on appropriate levels of annual benefit premiums based on costs, funding and organizational philosophy. Look for ways to increase benefit offerings while maintaining costs for both the organization and the employee.
Responsible for the ongoing implementation, development and administration of the Company’s wellness program.
Oversees administration of the vehicle stipend program providing guidance to HR Services team. Advises eligible employees on program enrollment and compliance questions. Oversees preparation of monthly vehicle and gas reports. Coordinates annual audit of program participant vehicle and insurance information.
Administers supplemental insurance, group life insurance and executive death benefit plans.
Coordinates preparation and distribution of benefit materials, statements and other communications as related to position responsibilities.
Serves as a primary resource to tier one team for assistance in resolving retirement and executive benefits. Serves as secondary resource for other health and welfare benefit program inquiries.
Responsible for timely and accurate processing of benefit data reports to support achievement of department objectives.
Conducts periodic data audits and collaborates with other team members to ensure data integrity.
Bachelor degree required with a major in Business Management, Human Resource Management or Organizational Development preferred. Continuous learning required, as defined by the Company’s learning philosophy. A current Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation, or progress toward required.
Minimum five years experience in a human resource environment administering benefit programs.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:
Knowledge of the benefit and compensation regulatory environment, including ERISA, IRS regulations, Section 125 regulations, COBRA, FMLA and HIPAA.
Knowledge of defined contribution and retirement program administrative processes.
Expert skills in using Microsoft Excel including the ability to turn a large volume of data into meaningful information. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems including the ability to upload data and report on data.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and the analytical ability to solve problems and issues.
Ability to perform necessary mathematical computation.
Ability to proofread documents for spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Demonstrated effectiveness with both verbal and written skills with strong customer focus.
Ability to organize, set priorities, complete multiple projects within established deadlines and work with a sense of urgency while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external customers.
