Syncrude has an opening in Fort McMurray, Alberta for a highly experienced compensation and benefits professional who brings passion, creativity, and a continuous improvement mindset to their work. Reporting to the Manager of Total Rewards and Systems, the ideal candidate will contribute a strategic perspective and practical experience in leading the design and development of Syncrude’s pay programs – including base pay, incentive plans, and pension and benefits programs that align with our people strategy and business objectives.
As a successful candidate, you will have a Bachelor Degree in Business with strong financial orientation, and have over 15 years of experience in human resources roles with at least 8 years in compensation, pension and/or benefit design and administration. You have exceptional knowledge of pay programs principles and foundational practices with demonstrated experience in leading the design and development of complex pay programs. With strong analytical and exceptional communications skills, you have established credibility and trust with senior leaders on related matters. Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset, and preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Compensation Professional designation.
