Career Tracks Project Compensation Consultant #27121
Career Tracks is a UC Systemwide initiative to implement updated classification specifications, payroll titles and standardized job descriptions across all campuses and medical centers. Our UCLA Campus Human Resources (CHR) group seeks an experienced compensation professional to join the CHR Compensation team to provide project resources.
In support of the Career Tracks project, the core responsibilities will include evaluating and determining the appropriate classification and salary range of a wide variety of non-represented and management positions, conducting market studies and collecting data, and providing analysis to support requests.
• Demonstrated excellent knowledge of compensation programs, survey research, and market practices. • Demonstrated experience and expert capability in the classification of positions using a variety of job evaluation systems. • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a large scale project including ability to develop, implement, and execute project plans using software programs. • Demonstrated attention to details in the classification of positions and management of projects. • Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills; advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills and working experience using databases. • Excellent interpersonal communications and collaboration skills to work with a variety of clients, employees and colleagues. • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred.
