The Director of Benefits and Compensation is a member of our Talent Management team reporting directly to the Chief Talent Officer. The Director will develop company-wide Total Rewards strategies through collaborative and creative “out of the box” thinking while ensuring they comply with Thresholds' policies, as well as applicable federal, state, and city laws and regulations. Responsible for leading, developing, and coaching.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with the Chief Talent Officer and Benefits team to develop the overall strategy for the agency benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, 403(b) and 401(a) retirement plans, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), transit benefits, FMLA, COBRA and other benefits.
Works with the Chief Talent Officer and Compensation team to develop a compensation strategy and program which includes bench marking, researching and analyzing market salary data and evaluating internal equity, external competitiveness and legal compliance of Thresholds' compensation practices to ensure effective compensation administration.
Acts as Project Manager for TM issues related to Mergers & Acquisitions.
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related business field required.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive experience with benefits, compensation with a strong operational focus.
Excellent listening skills coupled with an outstanding ability to analyze conflict and recommend effective solutions aligned to maximize outcomes.
Effective team building and leadership skills. Able to frame, confront, and present issues to any audience and make critical decisions.
Proven ability to build relationships, positively influence business partners, and achieve results by providing consistent, reliable, high quality support to the Agency.
Ability to work independently, juggle multiple projects, and providing flexible solutions to changing needs.
Experience with providing on?going feedback and coaching to increase organizational effectiveness.
Exceptionally effective attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills; proven success sharing new ideas and opportunities with team, peers, and business leaders.
