Applies professional compensation standards, analysis and methods in the development, implementation and administration of compensation and related programs for all non-executive-level positions in the MVHS.
Conducts interview and job observation to process job audits. Assists with preparation and maintenance of job descriptions.
Participates and assists in conducting salary surveys.
Gathers and analyzes internal and external salary and wage data. Performs job evaluations and market pricing of internal positions, including evaluating positions for internal equity and external competitiveness. Makes recommendations with regard to appropriate salary ranges and adjustments.
Responsible to gather relevant data, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives and make appropriate recommendations. Assists in modeling compensation scenarios for compensation budget planning. Provides modeling data for base and premium wage considerations during contract negotiations.
Evaluates and makes salary recommendations for new hires, internal promotions, reclassifications and other personnel actions for compliance with guidelines and hospital compensation policies and procedures.
Assists with the conduct of annual compensation plan review, identifying compensation trends and updates to current plan.
Assist with ensuring application of compensation plan meets all federal, state and local requirements.
Responsible to prepare clear and accurate analytical reports regarding compensation plan implementation, impact and trends. Collaborate with department supervisors and administrators in staff compensation administration and interpretation of compensation policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, accounting or closely related field.
HRCI/SHRM accreditation eligible within one year of employment.
Broad HR knowledge in all fifteen (15) functional areas of HR specialization.
Minimum 3 years compensation administration experience required
Holds the CCP certification, or is able to finalize attainment of such certification within eighteen (18) months of employment.
