Assist Compensation Manager in entering and cross-checking bi-weekly payroll entries, position management tasks, updating database and reports, market pricing, and internal equity analyses. Assist Compensation Manager in planning and implementing the City’s performance management system and conducting job evaluations and maintaining related data base. Assist with annual employee performance evaluation process to include creation of packets/materials, submitting performance review reminders, setting up/maintaining database, collecting and tracking forms, entering data into computer and/or spreadsheets. Responsible for updating and maintaining City job descriptions. Maintain and follow rotation schedule to ensure that all job descriptions are reviewed on a routine basis. Prepare necessary materials to participate in and assist with coordinating compensation committee meetings, as requested.
Collect exit interview questionnaires and/or conduct exit interviews. Administer the City’s Tuition Assistance/Reimbursement Program.
Support training and development function by coordinating the Supervisory Development Training program, maintaining a list of newly promoted/hired supervisors to be trained, and coordinating all pre-training assignments and logistics. Coordinate implementation of New Employee Orientation training. Develop and maintain all training presentations. Conduct training on various HR compliance and general supervisory topics. Assist in maintaining the Training Compliance records and in tracking and monitoring various HR statistics, including turnover and succession planning data.
Provide front-line HR customer service, serving as a back-up for the HR Assistant in his/her absence. Serve as backup to Compensation Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Psychology, or equivalent is required. Over two years of Human Resources experience is required. Experience in a municipal setting is preferred. A valid SC driver’s license is required. Certified Compensation Professional preferred.
