Children’s Hospital Colorado is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Total Rewards team as a Compensation Analyst at our main location in Aurora, CO.
In this role, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining base pay programs for exempt and non-exempt positions across multiple divisions within a team environment. You will collaborate with your team and business leaders to develop competitive programs that enhance our ability to attract, engage and retain key talent while ensuring alignment with internal philosophies, industry best practices, business strategies and financial objectives.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Proactively builds and maintains relationships with HR Business Partners, hiring managers, organizational leaders and other stakeholders and identifies compensation-related business needs.
Conducts job audits/analyses and writes effective/compliant job descriptions according to organizational objectives, best practices and legal standards.
Analyzes various salary surveys to identify compensation-related trends, evaluates and prices jobs to market standards and recommends solutions that meet business needs.
Assists with conducting annual market evaluation and update processes for salary structures, base pay and incentives to ensure the delivery of a competitive Total Rewards package.
Fields requests from hiring managers and questions from employees regarding compensation, escalates to management as necessary.
Analyzes and approves the utilization of discretionary pay practices.
Collaborates with team members to assess the impact and effectiveness of compensation programs.
Conducts ad hoc analyses and provides basic consultation regarding internal equity, hiring ranges, organizational design and other compensation-related requests.
Educates employees, leaders and Human Resources team members on compensation-related topics, including, but not limited to, trends, laws/rules/regulations, salary structures, and projects.
Responds to third-party compensation surveys on an annual basis.
We require a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience administering compensation programs. Combination of post-high school education and experience equivalent to six (6) years may be considered in lieu of minimum qualifications.
Previous experience working in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.

Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and HRIS platforms, such as PeopleSoft.
Ability to understand and write Excel formulas, such as VLOOKUP and IF/AND/THEN statements, is highly desirable.
