Valvoline is seeking a Benefit Analyst to join our team.
In this role you will be responsible for leading or assisting with key projects including: vendor searches, program rollout, employee events, communication campaigns and policy changes. This position will direct and provide guidance to our vendors and resolve escalated customer service issues as needed. There are also ongoing administrative processes that require troubleshooting, issue resolution and documentation. The Benefit Analyst will also work routinely with 2 benefit administrators, to identify and solve the daily and periodic issues relating to administration of the benefit plans and ensure compliance.
Responsible for all ongoing operational benefit activities requiring daily interaction, providing direction to vendors, HRBP’s, employees and other key stakeholders.
Partnering with the Benefit Manager, planning and driving various projects, executing strategic initiatives.
Analyzing data monitoring enrollment, claims tracking, trends, vendor SLA’s and providing routine metrics.
Research and resolve benefit issues, communicating as needed.
Lead ongoing compliance effort. Ensuring all plan filings and audits are performed to maintain compliance including but not limited to ERISA, HIPAA, DOL and IRS. Responsible for all government filings, and required participant communications.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

High School graduate, 4-year college degree is preferred.
Three-to-five years’ work experience as a Benefit Administrator and 3 to 5 as a Benefit Analyst.
Experience with international benefit plans is a plus.
40-hour workweek plus periodic overtime is required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of ERISA, DOL, IRS, Cobra, ACA regulatory environment and ability to interpret and apply to company benefit plans ensuring compliance.
Demonstrates knowledge of current employee benefits programs and best practices.
Performs the majority of work with minimal supervision.
Identifies issues affecting work progress and suggest solutions.
Assists in cost/benefit analysis.
High level of attention to detail.
Respectful teamwork and collaboration with other functional teams and vendors is required.
Ability to organize work, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks throughout the day/week.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Requires ability to skillfully navigate problem resolution system and other related applications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Travel estimated to be one-to-two weeks each year, domestic. No international travel required.
