The Sr. Director, Total Rewards will demonstrate an understanding of how total rewards supports the overall organizational strategy to enhance employee attraction, retention and engagement, as well as drive performance and business results. The scope of ownership will design, develop, direct, plan, implement and evaluate all total rewards programs which includes executive compensation. Additionally, this leader will partner with the Global HR team in the execution of the annual salary review process and provide input and support to the HRIS team and the systems development and automation related to total programs.
Partner with senior leadership to define, develop, communicate and execute the Total Rewards philosophy, vision, and strategy. Effectively incorporate into plan designs to support short- and long-term business objectives and ensure compensation strategies and solutions support existing and emerging business needs
Oversee the research of salary market data and building of creative solutions, ensuring that the organization retains a competitive total rewards position in the marketplace
Evaluate, modify and design variable compensation structures, including sales incentive compensation. Requires consulting with business partners at all levels in creating effective programs that help drive business results
Develop effective analytics and metrics to influence program direction and monitor business impact and effectiveness
Prepares compensation documentation and presentations for Compensation Committee as well as the Board of Directors
Administers the Short Term (STIP) and Long Term Incentive Plans (LTIP), including thorough understanding of plan documents, preparing communication for plan participants and auditing systems to ensure accuracy of data (company allocations, employee earnings, etc.).
Collect and prepare compensation related data for all public disclosures
Oversee benefits strategy and design of global benefits, including health and welfare, retirement, and wellness programs
Oversee stock administration function for all equity and ESPP plans and partner closely with legal and accounting to ensure compliance
Oversee all annual processes associated with Total Rewards, including planning and leading annual compensation and performance review cycles, benefits marketing and communications, and annual enrollment
Collaborate on Mergers and Acquisitions for compensation & benefits due diligence
Monitors regulatory compliance and audits to ensure compliance is maintained, as well as, responds to audit and regulatory inquiries.
Oversee vendor selection; monitor and manage selected vendors against service level agreements and effectiveness
Prepare annual Total Rewards budget, quarterly forecasts, and work with Executive and Compensation committee on recommendations and allocations
Foster a collaborative, values-driven HR team culture of high standards, strong productivity and innovation
Bachelor’s degree in HR Business or related field. Master’s degree is desirable.
10+ years in development, implementation and execution of compensation strategies in support of business objectives in a public company
3-5 years working directly with the head of HR, CEO and Board (Compensation Committee) on executive / equity compensation strategies and programs is desirable
One or more certifications or demonstrated technical experience in compensation, benefits, HR leadership and/or consulting; CCP designation preferred
Strong analytical skills, mastery of Excel and PowerPoint and HR systems
Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced and evolving organization.
Experience with internal and external reporting/disclosures requirements on executive compensation
Knowledge of M&A due diligence and integration
Robust financial acumen, as well understanding of tax/accounting/legal/regulatory issues related to executive compensation programs
Demonstrable partnership and influencing skills, strong communication skills, a commitment to outstanding customer service
Expert in design and management of sales, executive, traditional and non-traditional compensation programs
Ability to consult with employees at all organizational levels
