Kelly Services, Inc., a $5.5 billion world leader in workforce management services and human resources solutions, seeks a Director of Global Benefits at our corporate headquarters in Troy, MI. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Total Rewards, this individual will be responsible for managing the employee benefit programs for Kelly globally. Primary focus is the US, which includes responsibility for Health & Welfare programs and Qualified/Non-Qualified Retirement plans for the full-time and temporary employee populations.
Strategic planning and accountability as Benefits SME
Design of new US benefit plan offerings and changes to existing plans
Secretary of Board-appointed Benefit Plans Committee
Represent Kelly on various advisory boards and industry groups
Serve as Kelly’s HIPAA Privacy Official
Trustee for UK Pension Scheme
Consult with international operations on key benefit plan changes/additions
Cost Management and Benefits Optimization
Eligibility and vendor audits
Health care vendor network discounts
Risk and cost impact analyses
International benefits pooling
ERISA and Fiduciary requirements
All pertinent regulations including IRC, DoL, PPACA, COBRA, FMLA
Non-qualified Deferred Compensation regulations
ERISA reporting and disclosure
Local and state regulations
Internal and external controls and audits
Vendor Management (approximately 30 to 40)
Contracts, administrative service agreements and performance guarantees
Annual service meetings and renewals
Vendor and fee benchmarking
Ongoing monitoring of service and quality
Cost Accounting/Accruals (in partnership with Finance)
Cost projections and annual accruals
Wire and invoice approvals
Monthly cost monitoring
Lead the US-based Benefits team
Participate as a member of the Global Total Rewards and HR Leadership teams
Lead and/or participate in strategic cross-functional projects
Bachelors Degree in Finance or General Business
10-15 years national or multi-state Benefits experience, with responsibility for both Health & Welfare and Retirement Plans and including Benefits leadership experience at a Manager or Director level
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with Senior Management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of professional credibility and integrity
Demonstrated management/leadership skills
Finance background preferred
CEBS certification, MBA, staffing industry experience and international benefits experience a plus
