Job Summary: Benefits Manager is responsible for administration of employee benefits for all RHS operations. Responsible for regulatory compliance for all health and welfare plans and qualified retirement and savings plans. This position serves as subject matter expert and maintains knowledge by keeping abreast of industry, market trends, benefits technology and healthcare reform initiatives. Ensures team can provide special guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans. Benefits manager surveys industry and/or community, to determine company's competitive position. Analyzes and evaluates coverage and options available to determine programs that best meet needs of the organization. Track, monitor and analyze health claims, benefit plan costs and trends. Oversees wellness program administration. This position develops, recommends and installs approved, new or modified plans and employee benefit policies. Partners and manages relationships with benefits brokers, carriers, vendors, auditors, attorneys and subject matter experts to ensure delivery of high quality programs in accordance with industry best practice and alignment with organization business strategy. Manages a team of benefits analysts and partners with benefit administration system vendor to maximize employee service experience. The Benefits Manager reports to the System Director of Total Rewards. Both roles work closely together to ensure mix and value of RHS benefits is communicated effectively and in alignment with organization's business goals and total rewards strategy.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Certifications: CEBS certification within 3 years of hire in position required.
