The VP Global Benefits is an essential leadership role providing innovative solutions and strategic direction for all health and welfare, retirement and employee well-being domestic and internationally providing guidance for benefits spend totaling $300M. Additionally, this role is ultimately responsible for budgets, compliance, vendor management and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (include the major areas of responsibility and the percentage of time allocated to each)
Strategy Development and Innovative Thinking
Evaluate present programs through research, surveys, and analysis of benefit trends and/or vendor management to ensure plans are competitive and current
Oversee special projects that require integration between employee benefits plans and other HR priorities as well as merger and acquisition activity
Direct the strategy development and innovative solutions for health and welfare, retirement, life and disability plans including employee well-being for US and international locations (UK, Ireland, Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Canada, Philippines)
Provides leadership for effective health and welfare, retirement, wellness programs domestic and international as well as oversight of compensation international which are designed to attract, retain, motivate and improve the health and well-being of employees
Stakeholder Management and Consulting
Manage all vendors in the domestic and international benefits space including international compensation
Partner with communications internal and external vendors to develop and implement communications to employees regarding benefit programs, procedures, and disclosures
Partner and consult with internal stakeholders including global counterparts, procurement, legal, tax, procurement, employee relations and communications to accomplish initiatives
Program and Process Oversight:
Partner with HR Operations team on Annual Enrollment execution and day to day delivery of all domestic and international plans
Provide advice and counsel to employees and HR Business Partners on benefits programs and act as an advocate when needed
Communicate strategic objectives and program design with senior stakeholders
Evaluate current wellness program and employee engagement, including partnering with HR Operations on the planning of wellness challenges, learning series, and onsite health fairs where applicable
Stay current on new/innovative practices and trends in the benefits field; review existing and proposed statutory requirements governing benefits and recommend appropriate courses of action
Support employees with escalated claims research and resolution via Benefits Committees
Monitor programs and processes to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and country, federal, state and local regulatory requirements
Review and update all health and welfare plan documents and summary plan descriptions to ensure compliance
Oversee global budgets; work with Total Rewards team to address questions, prepare budgets, and present analyses / reporting to finance team and senior stakeholders
Must possess knowledge of human resources operations in a global organization
Superior understanding of the components of a compensation and benefits programs internationally as well as the ability to design and implement innovations within a collaborative environment
High level of understanding of finance and metrics management
Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Good judgment, such as knowing when to escalate an issue

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Training:
Required: Undergraduate degree
Preferred: CEBS, CBP, CCP
15+ years of experience preferred working within a Human Resources Benefits function or benefits consulting group demonstrating expertise in health and wellness benefits strategy, design, compliance and operation. Expertise in financial benefits also a plus
Successful history of leading large scale operational changes including integration and harmonization initiatives
Significant leadership skills with a track record of successfully building and developing effective teams
