United Technologies Corporate Headquarters in Farmington CT is seeking a HR Specialist. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of various health and welfare benefits for active employees and retirees, including governance of key third-party vendors. In addition, this role supports the Director of Health and Welfare Strategy by providing valuable input to assist in determining the execution of design of various programs. This position, within the UTC Benefits Operations team, works closely with the health & welfare strategy, Shared Business Services, Payroll, HRIS and Benefits Finance organizations.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers
Manage supplier relationships/programs and monitor performance and deliverables. These may include, but not limited to UTC’s wellness program, Health Savings Account administrator and select health plan vendor responsibilities.
Support other key supplier relationships and monitor performance and deliverables
Support other benefit related departmental activities, including the planning and execution of Annual Enrollment
Coordinate the resolution of issues and escalations and provide subject matter expertise to business units and internal/external partners.
Create standard work and process maps to document key processes
Support year end payroll testing and processing
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities through the use of ACE tools
Facilitate the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of updates to various benefits communications materials
Support various reporting and analysis
Lead and support special benefit related projects as assigned
Minimum 6 – 7 years of benefits or related human resources administration or a combination of experience
Strong project management skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Understanding of the employee benefit delivery supply chain
Knowledge of various benefit related legislation (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA etc.)
Solutions-focused approach towards everyday matters
Willingness to flex, adapt, and succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Experience in the preparation of effective presentations
Ability to use quality tools and metrics to solve issues and drive business results (ACE)
Education Bachelor’s degree, or associates degree and specialized certification (CEBS, GBA, etc.) and minimum 6 – 7 years of benefits or related human resources administration.
