We are looking for a Total Rewards Leader with extensive experience in compensation, market analysis, benefits strategy and HRIS. This person will be accountable for ensuring that the company's compensation, benefits and HRIS programs are strategic and aligned with the biotech market and the company's growth strategies. This person will report to the EVP, Human Resources.
Provide leadership in driving best practice compensation, benefits and HRIS programs, practices and strategy
Will partner with leadership on strategies and solutions to enable the company's growth in headcount and scale, and to facilitate expansion into Europe and ROW
Support EVP in prep for Comp Committee, CEO, EC and other executive level compensation and benefits meetings and presentations
Lead the company's merit, bonus and equity compensation planning processes, including budgets, data sets, targets and planning tools
Consult on initiatives such as retention strategies, European market entry, competitive response to market pressure, difficult market pricing cases, job offers, job leveling and career ladders, trends in market practices, etc.
Lead the company's health, Rx, dental, 401k, life and disability insurance and other benefits programs, vendor contracts and relationships. Updates policies and ensures the company is responding effectively to market trends
Manage a tight HRIS and HR data integrity process to ensure data, systems and processes are accurate. Also, build reporting metrics, an HR dashboard and manager and employee self-service platforms
Provide leadership and direction to a Rewards team made up of 4 people
The successful candidate should have at least fifteen (15) years of professional Human Resources experience working for growth oriented companies known for innovative people practices. The candidate should also have at least ten (10) years of in-depth experience in compensation and benefits management. This individual should be able to demonstrate:
Deep expertise in all technical elements of fundamental compensation management.Experience in managing EU and ROW compensation programs and international assignments would be a significant plus
Experience working on Comp Committee and Board related matters is important
Experience in all technical elements of benefits management, including the design and execution of innovative, cost-effective benefit programs, including running RFPs, managing multiple vendor relationships, ensuring DOL compliance, and overseeing benefits enrollment and communications
Exceptional consultative skills and business based issue resolution, and an ability to say "no"
Strong project management and change management skills to effectively design, socialize and execute significant HR and business change, particularly around rewards initiatives
Strong analytical skills, math orientation and attention to detail. Must have high level written and oral communications capabilities; and excel, data base and power point skills
Experience in life sciences or biotechnology is helpful but not required.
The candidate must also have an interest and capacity to successfully flex out of rewards work into broader client support or special assignments, be willing to dig into issues and demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively in a science, data driven environment.
The individual should ideally be credentialed as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), have an undergraduate degree, and preferably an MBA, MHR or related graduate degree.
