Reporting to the Director, the Sr. Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation and administration of various compensation programs and processes, including but not limited to base pay administration, annual incentive plans, long-term incentives, job evaluations, market pricing, survey submission, and merit processing. Assists in the development and delivery of compensation program initiatives and processes by implementing and supporting compensation programs, to ensure alignment across the organization. Researches, compiles and analyzes salary market data to identify industry trends. Additionally, the Sr. Compensation Analyst will participate in projects in support of strategic objectives and reward initiatives, partnering with management and Human Resource Team to achieve results. Maintains effective working relationships with internal partners and HR Team.
Essential Job Functions
Provides compensation expertise and counsel to Management and HR Business Partners for assigned business units with respect to all compensation matters including salary management, compensation program administration and plan design, retention needs, and policies and procedures in support of strategic objectives.
Provides support in administering and maintaining company-wide competitive, cost-effective, and internally equitable compensation programs.
Understands the business and related specific market conditions. Build critical relationships and demonstrate ability to influence internal customers at all levels on compensation matters.
Identify and generate competitive solutions to challenging compensation issues, while counseling and educating Management/HR Business Partners on compensation philosophy and practice.
Successfully drive philosophical and program changes through the organization, in conjunction with an evolving compensation strategic plan.
Support and improve compensation related processes and programs through data creation, analytics, modeling, reporting and auditing across the organization.
Leads the annual compensation planning cycle, including data prep and ensure data accuracy.
Contributes to the delivery of compensation objectives by administering assigned programs, provides metric reporting as necessary and documents compensation procedures to meet company and departmental needs.
Responsible for compensation recommendations for business related job changes such as new positions, job changes, conversions and relocations.
Maintains and enhances compliance related to compensation practices.
Conducts, participates in, and analyzes salary surveys and other available competitor information sources to ensure the existence of a competitive compensation structure.
Responsible for data preparation, review and submission of budget, expenses and accruals to Accounting and Finance for all related compensation programs.
Leads compensation projects, included but not limited to benchmarking across all Divisions and groups.
Ensures compliance of all compensation programs with federal and state regulations; conducts periodic audits of salaries to identify any potential problems or non-compliance issues.
Audits internal processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvements.
Assists in preparing and delivering training materials for management and employees in regards to compensation programs.
Assists in the drafting of compensation related communication materials, letters and templates. Works closely with the Recruiting team on offers and letter language, forms, and templates, as needed.
Treats sensitive personal data with the highest integrity and strict confidentiality.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human resources, Economics, Finance, and/or related field required. SPHR or PHR Certification highly desired.
Experience and Qualifications
Five years’ related experience and/or strong working knowledge of compensation administration.
Strong knowledge of compensation related issues preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to exercise good judgment and handle confidential information.
Strong teamwork skills required as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high growth, changing environment.
Aptitude for balancing multiple priorities with strong organization and prioritization skills.
Autonomous, self-directed, detail- and results-oriented individual with a high commitment to quality.
Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to solve problems creatively.
Experience running reports, performing analysis and drafting communications.
Requires a self-motivated, team player who has ability to work under little supervision, pays close attention to detail and who has ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment and meet deadlines. Must demonstrate the ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact, collaborate, and develop and maintain relationships across the organization. Must demonstrated leadership skills with high ethical standards and high degree of personal ownership/accountability of all work products.
