The Compensation Analyst is an exciting opportunity for adding significant value to the business by performing a wide range of compensation and related functions not limited to administering company-wide compensation programs. The functions include, but not limited to, assisting in the successful administration of compensation programs, participating in the development of continuous improvements to those programs, performing market and economic research relevant to making recommendations to program design, participating in salary surveys, performing appropriate job analysis/evaluations and from time to time, may lead and/or participate in special assignments, projects or other duties. All work assignments are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assists in the planning, development, communication, and administration of the annual company-wide salary increase and year-end bonus payout processes.
Assists in the successful executions of all salary change requests, including promotions and transfers, to ensure they are within Compensation guidelines.
Processes requests for new positions by performing appropriate job description audit, job analysis/evaluations, and relevant research considering both internal and external factors to support competitive, cost effective and compliant positioning of compensation recommendations and decisions, including conducting desk audit reviews.
Maintains job descriptions library to ensure approved versions are catalogued appropriately.
Participates in approved salary benchmarking surveys and analyzes appropriate responses as needed by managing the necessary research, data retrieval, computation, manipulation, analysis, preparation, review and submission of data.
Maintains up to date knowledge of new or recent legislation as it relates to best HR practices and generally accepted management principles.
Prepares compensation related ad hoc and scheduled reports.
Assists other Human Resources areas with special projects or leads/participates in a variety of special assignments, projects and tasks such as analyzing data, drafting programs design and recommendations, preparing program modeling, preparing elaborate spreadsheets, implementing new or improved compensation programs, responding to various compensation issues and inquiries, and other similar activities as directed.
Performs all other duties as directed by management.

Bachelor Degree from an accredited four year institution preferably concentrating in HR, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent experience
2 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred, especially in administering various Compensation programs (job evaluation and analysis, annual compensation planning, compensation legal compliance, salary survey participation, other similar experience)
General working knowledge of HR policies and procedures
Excellent quantitative, analytical, attention to details, managing multiple assignments, and client services skills required
Demonstrate advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
Must be able to communicate effectively well in English, both written and orally at all levels of the organization
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards
Must be able to work varied shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays
