The City of Seattle is seeking a strong leader and seasoned compensation and classification professional to lead their technically adept Compensation and HR Data Teams, part of the City’s high-functioning Human Resources Department. This is an exceptional opportunity to be a strategic, forward thinking thought leader and people manager.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Compensation Program Manager (CPM) will possess: an understanding of how job specification analyses and compensation structures frame, define, and drive HR programs and promote equity; strong analytical and quantitative skills with solid knowledge and experience in compensation theory, job evaluation methodology, database applications and HRIS systems, FLSA, state and federal regulations impacting pay and recordkeeping, and the collection, analysis and determination of market salary and compensation data; experience working with Labor Relations and providing reliable data to ensure the integrity of contract negotiations; organizational and project management skills to manage multiple projects from concept to finish; and, the ability to communicate in both written and spoken formats to a variety of audiences, in a clear, persuasive, and appropriate to the topic and situation, manner.
Any combination of education and experience that provides the ability to perform the required job duties is qualifying. A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
