The Compensation Analyst serves as a resource to management regarding human resource issues such as compensation practices, comprehensive analyses to address salary issues, performance management, new hire offers and compensation/related policy interpretation and guidelines. This individual ensures compensation programs are in compliance with GBMC HealthCare's policies and procedures and federal, state and local labor laws and regulations.
Education: Bachelor's degree required. Completion of basic Certified Compensation Professional Compensation (CCP) coursework preferred.
Experience: Two years' experience or equivalent in job analysis, job evaluation, or other related business experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcare experience (1 to 2 years) required.
Comprehensive understanding of state, federal, and other statutory regulations
Knowledge of basic statistical principles and methods
Skill in job analysis and job evaluation techniques
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to research and explain complex problems
Ability to use a consultative approach to resolving compensation-related issues
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with HR Business Partners and Managers
Effective oral and written communications
Skill in the use of database and spreadsheet applications
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Understanding of HRIS and Payroll related functions
