An exciting opportunity exists in our Corporate Office in Toronto for a Total Reward Specialist. Reporting directly to the Director, Total Rewards, the incumbent in this role will be accountable for supporting the total reward function, delivering research and analysis with respect to all total reward disciplines.
Assess degree of market competitiveness (compensation, benefits, recognition and retirement savings) by participating in market surveys, analyzing the results and preparing statistical and narrative analysis
Assess impact of various total rewards programs and test for alignment to strategy and program goals
Assess the need to amend or create policies given market trends or legislative requirements, identifying cross impacts across the total rewards portfolio
Design analytical models for various compensation programs and plans outcomes e.g., costing models, incentive modeling, back-test new designs, valuation of equity-based compensation, etc.
Prepare data for annual executive and director compensation disclosure
Draft standard HR Committee Reports; prepare pension committee agendas and draft standard reports
Review and validate preliminary job evaluation outcomes from Divisional HR colleagues; provide technical job evaluation support to Divisional HR colleagues. Maintains the job evaluation database, ensuring integrity of all documentation and evaluations
Develop end-to-end project plans for the implementation and communication of new or changed total rewards programs, identifying potential risks and preliminary recommendations on how to mitigate those risks
Design and deliver administrative processes to support total reward offerings, including the maintenance of data, auditability of data / transactions, by applying the principles of continuous improvement / operational excellence
Qualifications and Skills
University degree and/or equivalent experience
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical analytical techniques (survey analysis, modelling and program assessment)
Relevant experience in at least one discipline of total rewards
Knowledge of total rewards design principles and practices
Close attention to detail
Good communication skills, written and verbal
Focus on continuous improvement
