Creates the roadmap for the global benefits function, in conjunction with leadership and the benefits team, and ensures successful and timely execution; ensures that our benefits program attracts/retains talent in a competitive market by keeping pulse on what matters most
Creates and leads execution of innovative strategies for increasing awareness of our wealth of benefits, their perceived value, and ultimately “Bang for our Buck”
Oversees ongoing administration, evaluation, design, and implementation of all benefits programs, including core health & welfare, time off, financial, and wellness benefits and perks; partner with other groups who offer additional perquisites
Leads and develops the benefits team, ensuring continued strong performance, individual career growth & development, and increasing impact
Fosters close working relationships with other HR leaders, as well as leaders in key partner organizations such as Legal, Finance, Payroll, and HR tech
Ensures successful broker and vendor relationships, including guiding team on best practice vendor management; leads evaluation of potential vendors
Leads the charge toward increased automation, consistency, documentation, and efficiency across all programs and policies
Monitor market benchmarks and current trends, as well as internal utilization and costs to ensure benefit offerings remain highly competitive and fiscally responsible; recommend strategies that appropriately address employee needs and company priorities
Keep current on benefits regulations and new legislation; ensure all programs and policies are legally compliant; and oversee audits and required filings
Ensure top notch and accurate customer service for employee inquiries and issues in partnership with HR Operations
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; more specialized education or certification ideal, such as CEBS, CBP, master’s degree, or other formal training
10+ years of experience in benefits
Expert knowledge and experience in all benefits program areas, including health, wellness, financial, time off, and perquisites; expert knowledge of benefits regulations, legislation, and data/information privacy and security
Proven success as a people manager, including hiring, developing, guiding and engaging staff; experience managing managers ideal but not required
Knowledge of a wide variety of communications techniques to build awareness, engagement, utilization and value of a benefits program; ability to innovate
Experience developing functional roadmaps, looking at the big picture to prioritize and make trade-offs, and aligning priorities to the broader dept and organization as a whole
Excellent analytical, modeling, problem solving and project management skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high priorities in a fast paced environment
Strong experience and skill at proactive collaboration with a wide variety of individuals and teams
