The Assistant Director of Compensation is responsible for directing the implementation, maintenance, compliance, communication and administration of staff compensation consistent with the organization’s human capital objectives. The Assistant Director of Compensation will collaborate with Departments and HR Business Partners on workforce and organization planning. The position may serve as an HR Business Partner to a university department.
This position reports to the Senior Director of HR Service Delivery
This position will work closely with the AVP of Human Resources, the Human Resources Teams, in particular Recruiting, Service Delivery and Operations, and Benefits to ensure a cohesive total compensation strategy and excellence in operations
This position will also have frequent interactions with managers in departments across campus

Required Education and Experience
6-8 progressively responsible experience in compensation or equivalent in education, training and experience
High proficiency in consultation skills, executive coaching, customer service skills, strategic communications, collaboration, interpersonal and management skills, committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive community
Knowledge, understanding and application of Federal and State employment laws
High proficiency in financial analysis, modeling and budgeting
High proficiency in data analytics and use of excel
Experience in design, development, implementation and administration of all types of compensation programs
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working with Ellucian/Colleague and Successfactors
