We believe that market and data analysis, along with industry expertise and judgement make sound compensation decisions. Working as a trusted partner to the Human Resources team and leaders of Cineplex, the Compensation Analyst will provide direct support to on compensation policies and programs.
Reporting to the VP, Talent Operations, the Compensation Analyst will be responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analytical support and research to our HR Business Partners, and acting as the team member responsible for data modeling and market analysis.
The Compensation Analyst will lead the total compensation cycle, which includes merit, bonus, long term incentives and preparing Total Rewards Statements. This role assists in developing, implementing, and administering total rewards policies, programs, new projects and initiatives.
Leading the annual merit and bonus cycle through the automated compensation software including the configuration and administration of the multiple compensation programs across the Cineplex ecosystem
Ensuring exceptional customer service delivery and accuracy of the annual compensation cycle including the preparation and delivery of our electronic Total Rewards Statements
Responsible for data modeling and market analysis ensuring legislative compliance
Conducting salary recommendations and partnering with the HR Team to provide sound salary guidance and advice
Participating in, and analyzing, salary benchmarking surveys for Canada and the US
Responsible for the development, administration and oversight of the Employee Recognition Program
Preparing and analyzing various HRIS and Applicant Tracking System data in order to provide business insights
Preparing and monitoring the monthly, quarterly, and annual HR budget
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar discipline with analytical bias
3-5 years of work experience in Human Resources with 2 years of focus on compensation
Advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel skills: pivots, complex logic statements, look ups, etc.
A passion for developing and analyzing complex data sets and converting them into the information/insights that drive business decisions at all levels of the organization
Effective quantitative, written, and presentation skills; innovative, organized, and thorough with an eagerness to further develop these skills
Great attention to detail
Problem-solving mindset: Fundamentals of taking a problem, conducting analysis, and building recommendations
Strong communication skills: Clear, concise and influential in all aspects of communication

Recipient or working towards your WorldatWork - Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
