As a core member of the Missile Systems Compensation, Benefits and HR Systems (CBH) team, this position will lead initiatives aimed at developing the strategy, communication, implementation and administration of Raytheon’s Total Compensation policies, procedures, practices and programs. This includes base pay, variable pay plans, and recognition and awards for over 12,000 non-represented employees in the US and international locations (primarily United Kingdom, Canada, and United Arab Emirates). This position will work with various stakeholders including HR and cognizant business unit and Enterprise leaders to develop and implement proactive approaches to attract, retain and motivate employees in support of Company and business unit strategies and goals.
This position requires the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders across functional and organizational lines within a highly matrixed and global organization; it also requires superior organizational, project management and communication capabilities as demonstrated by an ability to manage multiple detailed projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Implementing and maturing Total Compensation Planning within customer groups, ensuring that Raytheon’s total reward programs are aligned with strategy and are properly implemented and executed within the business;
Performing job analysis, ensuring compliance with job structures, company policies, compensation governance and all federal and state laws;
Compiling and analyzing internal HR data/metrics and external data, including market surveys, to effectively benchmark programs and practices;
Partnering closely with Talent Acquisition, HR, and business unit leaders to establish salary offers within the organization which balance internal equity, external market, compliance and budget considerations;
Recommending, developing and supporting implementation of new programs or modifications to existing programs to meet changes in demographics, utilization, and evolving needs of customer groups and the business;
Responding to audit requests and conducting proactive analyses to support compliance, equity and diversity goals;
Leading Total Rewards special projects for assigned customer groups and the business;
Providing subject matter expertise and thought leadership on all other compensation related programs and/or issues impacting the business.
BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration strongly preferred
10+ years progressive experience in Human Resources or 8+ years with related Masters
6 years of being directly responsible for Compensation in midsize to large company or organization
Ability to translate and analyze compensation data and prepare clear and compelling reports, metrics and recommendations
Ability to partner and influence at all leadership levels within the Company
Strong interpersonal, consulting, teaming, and advocacy skills; proven ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships with colleagues and internal customers
Must work well independently with a high level of responsibility and confidentiality and navigate effectively in matrix environments
Demonstrated evidence of detail orientation, multitasking skills and effective project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills tailored for various audiences
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and compensation planning systems
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
HR/Compensation experience in the defense industry
Experience administering remuneration programs in non-US locations
