General Dynamics (GD) is looking for an energetic equity compensation professional to join the compensation team at their corporate headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. The Equity Compensation Specialist, GD’s highest non-manager level, will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the General Dynamics Equity Compensation plan. They will also be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting on compensation data (both executive and broad-based), providing annual proxy support, and the creation of presentations for the CEO and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. The appropriate candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of analytical experience, with a strong preference for experience with executive compensation.
Uses Microsoft Excel or other compensation databases to manage data and provide critical analysis to senior leaders
Prepares and analyzes internal and external Compensation data, summarizing findings and making recommendations as appropriate
Creates presentations for the Chief Executive Officer and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
Supports the administration of the General Dynamics Stock Plan and is proficient to answer equity related questions from employees and other stakeholders
Provides day-to-day equity support using Fidelity Brokerage Services’ Plan Sponsor Webstation (PSW) and working directly with Fidelity personnel
Responsible for providing accurate Section 16 equity transaction data to the Legal Department for appropriate SEC filings
Direct point of contact for executives on equity compensation matters
Provides guidance to consultants to ensure deliverables meet expectations
Facilitates the collection of data required for disclosure in the company’s annual proxy statement
Manages monthly, quarterly, and year-end equity reporting process
Provides recommendations on process improvements
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Certifications:
BS/BA degree in Business Administration, a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience to necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
Experience working with Executive Compensation
Master's degree preferred
A minimum of five (5) years prior analytical analysis experience required with a preference for Compensation experience
Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel are required
Experience in data management/analysis required
Must be fully proficient in MS Office Suite including PowerPoint
Superior attention to detail and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
Ability to work effectively with and communicate compensation analyses to people at all levels, including corporate executives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work with little direction and handle multiple tasks successfully and simultaneously
Strong financial acumen preferred and understanding of company SEC filings preferred
Experience with PeopleSoft and SuccessFactors preferred
