VCU Health System's Human Resources departmentis seeking a full time Senior Director of Total Rewards. Oversees all elements of compensation and benefits for the Health System, ensuring alignment with the overall HR strategy and EVP. Leads the development and implementation of Total Rewards philosophy, strategies, programs and practices for the Health System.
Develops the overall Total Rewards philosophy aligned with Health System's values, vision, and business objectives
Designs and leads compensation and benefits strategies and programs that align with business objectives and support business success, and leads the Compensation and Benefits teams to deliver on those strategies
Ensures all elements of the Total Rewards portfolio are market competitive and fiscally sound Partners with Health System Leadership to design, analyze and implement executive and broad –based compensation programs
Assesses compensation and benefits plans of acquisition targets, determine transition needs and lead the integration of those plans
Ensures all plans and processes comply with applicable regulations and requirements, including reporting, required disclosure and testing
Ensures effective tools are in place to manage Total Rewards planning and administration, including vendor selection and management
Partners with HR Communications team to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for Total Rewards programs
Partners with stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasts and calculations of expenditures for budgeting, reporting and other analytics
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or other related field.
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in HR/Compensation/Benefits specialist and leadership roles.

Extensive knowledge of compensation and benefit plans including base salary, merit increase programs, short and long term incentives, equity programs, health and wellness plans, retirement plans and recognition programs
Expertise in the design and implementation of compensation and benefits programs in a health system
Supports and prepares the Health System CEO and executive leadership for quarterly Evaluation and Compensation Committee reporting, including working with the Committee's outside consultants as needed
Contributes to HR and Health System leadership forums to integrate Total Rewards into strategic management practices
HR, benefits, or compensation certification preferred, such as CEBS, MCCP, A/CCP, CBP, CECP, PHR, or SHRM-CP
Master's degree in business management, finance, accounting, human resources or related field.
