Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards this position partners with the Human Resources Business Partners for assigned client group serving as the Total Rewards resource and single point of contact for all Total Rewards needs. The Total Rewards Manager designs and analyzes compensation and benefits programs ensuring competitiveness, alignment to TE’s Total Rewards strategy and legal requirements.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Build strong relationships with client groups to understand business strategy and to identify appropriate Total Rewards solutions.
Partner with clients to establish short-, medium- and long-term total rewards priorities
Understand top talent, key roles and strategic workforce plan to influence compensation strategy and planning with respect to base pay, incentives and equity
Consult on compensation and benefits issues globally to ensure market competitiveness and adherence to budgetary guidelines
Partner with Business Units on the design and review of sales incentive plans and coordinate annual review of sales incentive plans to drive timely approval and roll-out. Measure effectiveness of plan design to ensure appropriate ROI to BU.
Work with HR team to administer the acquisition integration strategy. Conduct acquisition due diligence and coordinate integration policies and programs using both internal and external resources.
Support the Compensation planning process, consulting with HR and BU / Corporate Function leaders on merit, bonus & LTI budget spend, ensuring the decisions support TE’s pay for performance philosophy and are the best use of company funds taking the business results into consideration.
Advise and train client group on Total Rewards philosophy and programs
Initiate and deliver specialized analysis on competitive and internal compensation practices, strategies and metrics based on business need.
Anticipate, innovate and respond quickly as business and market realities change, staying current on best practices and trends; ensure compliance with applicable legislation
Excel in change management and ensure strong communication of total rewards philosophy and practices with employees at all levels
Partner with other Total Rewards members (business and regional) to coordinate Total Rewards policies and programs that will impact other Segments and the overall Total Rewards philosophy/strategy. Balance Segment needs with overall corporate strategy.
Develop recommendations for band, level, title and pay for middle-management and Executive roles based on analysis of duties, internal equity and market competitiveness.
Collaborate with the Compensation Operations team to set the strategy for overall survey selection, use and mapping.
Work collaboratively with all members of the HR team, demonstrating the ability to innovate, adapt and be flexible
8+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Human Resources Experience in Sales Incentive Plan design
Project Management Skills
Strong communication and consulting skills Experience building relationships across cultures
Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze statistical/financial data, understand cost impact to business and develop recommendations
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task Good understanding of equity including global use Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) Proficient in SAP HR or comparable HRIS
Experience with Success Factors or comparable comp planning system CCP or GRP preferred
