Experience and/or Educations Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in Business, Human Resources or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in compensation analysis
- CCP/GRP certification preferred (or work completed towards certification)
- Chemical, Energy and/or Oil & Gas Industry experience a plus
- Advanced knowledge of compensation principles and pay practices
- Working knowledge of local, state and national laws and regulations pertaining to compensation programs, in particular, the Fair Labor Standards Act
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience completing salary surveys required
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Well organized with finely tuned attention to detail
- Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment to produce results
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
- Experience with HRIS/SAP system preferred
- Experience with point factor job evaluation (Hay methodology) a plus
- Adept at working with technology and learning new systems and technology as necessary
- Must be a self-starter and able to work pro-actively, have the capacity to multi-task effectively in a fast paced work environment, and be able to follow through and complete tasks with minimal direction
- Must be willing to travel between work sites on a regular basis and attend conferences and training as necessary
