Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Administrator Compensation & Labor Relations, responsible for the day-to-day administration of University Hospital's Compensation Programs. Serves as the primary point of contact for departments, and provides a variety of compensation services at the professional level. Performs job evaluations and makes recommendations/determinations for new position classifications and reclassifications; performs departmental studies for reorganizations, and union reviews in accordance with bargaining unit contract stipulations. Explains compensation policies and procedures to staff and management. Participates in the review and maintenance of computerized systems relative to position control, job descriptions and other compensation administration functions. Acts as a subject matter expert to the Human Resources Generalists and the staff and management at University Hospital.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration or a related field required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources, including at least three (3) years specifically in compensation services. Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations required. Excellent statistical analysis, problem solving, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate with management and employees at all levels. Computer proficiency required. Strong writing and grammar skills a plus. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
