Acting as an internal consultant, Senior Compensation Analyst serves as an expert resource on Delaware North’s compensation function, coordinating and monitoring the company's compensation program via market reviews, job reviews, and salary grade determinations. This role is also responsible for the annual merit review program and annual incentive programs, and for designing and analyzing incentive plans that drive business results.
What Great Looks Like
The Senior Compensation Analyst must be a proven, results-oriented subject matter expert who will have experience partnering with HR business partners and management to assist with developing and driving comprehensive compensation strategies for the business. The ideal candidate will not only be well versed in the underlying data but also have the ability and experience in summarizing and reporting out to senior management.
Core Objectives Include:
Coordinate, administer, and maintain compensation programs; participate in annual salary surveys, analyze results, and keep abreast of trends to proactively evaluate salaries of hard to recruit positions; function as a strategic partner to Senior Management to ensure alignment of incentive and merit programs.
Identify and recommend best practices as appropriate; provide modeling on design proposals as needed; serve as the subject matter expert on incentive plans; maintain compliance with all legal requirements of incentive pay plans.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Evaluate jobs by reviewing job descriptions and benchmarking against internal and external data to ensure grade and salary recommendations are commensurate with market and internal equity
Interface with management, HR leadership, and recruiters to identify hard to recruit positions and monitor salaries on regular basis to ensure competitiveness for retention
Conduct company-wide salary reviews on regular basis to ensure equity and appropriateness
Ensure company-wide integrity of the compensation program.
Create and run queries to meet reporting needs; coordinate, create, and submit periodic reports to Executive and Senior Management.
Provide modeling on design proposals as needed; develop, update, and maintain layman's "talking points" for staff and new hires; work with supervisors to develop incentive plan report cards so that staff can easily understand their performance level; partner with Human Resources team on special projects as needed.
Select and manage external partnerships as required to engage in the development and or delivery of compensation plans
Plug into projects as needed to support the Total Rewards function, including back-up support as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or related is required.
5 years' compensation design and analysis experience
Proven experience in seeking out and recommending process improvements
Flexibility in handling workflow in a multi-tasking environment, and adjusting to changing priorities
Strong technical/analytical skills as it relates to base compensation and incentive programs
Experience with Office 365, with intermediate Excel and analytics capability
Pay Factors experience is a plus
