Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a benefits professional with strong communication and organizational skills to provide oversight, compliance expertise and support to all of our operating companies across the United States with regards to employee benefit plans.
What you’ll get to do:
Working in a highly matrixed organizational structure with multiple benefits plans for multiple companies, you will be responsible for addressing complex benefits inquiries, developing and maintaining regular reporting on program utilization and cost, providing analysis, ensuring compliance, and interfacing with vendors. With a heightened sense of, and commitment to, exceptional customer care you will provide day-to-day support for all of our operating companies in the area of benefits.
Document internal processes.
Facilitate the annual enrollment process including participating in development of communication material, organizing meetings and ensuring enrollment systems are set up.
Primarily responsible for the benefits administration, including accurate payment of vendor monthly billings, reconciling invoices, and vendor management
Recommend employee benefit programs by examining employee understanding and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage
Review vendor contracts and assist in negotiation of rates and recommending alternative plan designs where appropriate.
Respond to data requests, inquiries and escalations as needed, both internally and externally. Acts as point of contact to resolve escalated claim issues enrollment questions.
Revise, update, maintain and coordinate updates to enrollment systems, plan documents & summary plan descriptions, including coordination with other departments on the interpretation and administration of ongoing and changing plan revisions. Ensure all documents are current, accurate and placed in/posted to all applicable sites.
Work with the Learning and Development team to deploy communications to increase employee perception, participation and understanding of health and welfare benefits.
Collaborate with consultants and third-party administrators in plan renewal and RFP processes, preparing and monitoring performance metrics.
Assist in managing health and welfare projects including, but not limited to M&A transactions, integrations, transitions and new benefit programs as needs arise.
Prepare benchmark analysis and conduct process and design comparisons to other companies to ensure alignment with industry and peers.
Responsible for reconciling/processing all monthly benefits invoices and partnering with accounting.
Assist with streamlining/administering with employee leave processing and partnering with HR Business Partner function as necessary.
Establish and build strong working relationships within the HR teams, Accounting & Finance, Legal, and other internal and external stakeholders to support benefits related business needs.
Provide support including, but not limited to researching and resolving benefit related issues, recommending solutions and/or alternate methods to ensure effective benefit operations.
Determines employee benefits practices by benchmarking best practices; researching industry and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact.

What you’ll need to succeed:
Degree in Human Resources or similar field (preferred, but not required) or equivalent relevant experience.
7+ years’ experience with benefits administration.
Preferred CEBS designation.
High-level proficiency with Excel (e. g., v-lookups, pivot tables, if/then formulas).
Strong knowledge and understanding of benefit plan administration including leave administration.
Business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational environment
Knowledge of compensation and benefits theories and principles
