POSITION OVERVIEW: Assists in the analysis, design, administration and maintenance of compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Evaluates jobs, determines pay grades, participates in compensation surveys, and performs associated analysis. Ensures that requests for pay adjustments comply with current compensation policy. Provides analytical expertise and interpretation of compensation policies to management and HR staff. Conducts market pricing activities to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, while adhering to over-arching compensation philosophy. Answers compensation inquiries in a timely manner, creates effective business partnerships, and helps increase caregiver satisfaction through well-executed compensation programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Under general supervision, administers and maintains compensations plans and policies for the organization including auditing plans, identifying potential areas of concern and providing analytical and tactical insights into how plans are working.
Performs data collection, evaluation, modeling & costing, design, implementation and administration of cash compensation programs. Participates in surveys. Researches market trends and pay levels, proactively collaborating with HR and functional leadership.
Answers compensation inquiries in a timely manner, building effective business partnerships. Provides compensation consultation to Business Leaders, HR Business Partners and the Recruiting team.
Assists with the review of requests for new or revised jobs to determine appropriate pay grade assignment and FLSA status.
Researches and provides reports and scorecards on compensation competitiveness to various internal customers from senior leadership to department heads.
Manages compensation data to ensure accuracy and effective administration of compensation programs. Partners with HRIS to ensure/audit caregiver data are accurate and meet all federal and state legal requirements.
Assures compliance with provisions of FLSA/DOL and other applicable regulatory agencies.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review professional publications; establish personal networks; participate in professional societies.
Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, finance or relevant field
Preferred: Masters' degree in human resources or related field
Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional certification
Minimum of 3 years increasingly responsible experience in Human Resources with an analytical focus.
Proficient knowledge of principles and best practices in compensation including job analysis/evaluation; applicable Federal, State, and local rules, regulations and/or statutes; research methods and data analysis techniques.
Well-developed interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.
An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
Competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment necessary in providing service.
Experience in healthcare and/or other human resources functions. Experience with compensation management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work effectively with a variety of teams and personalities.
Current knowledge of functional area theories, practices and techniques per discipline.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Knowledge and skill with common office software applications.

Proven expertise in compensation administration and plan design, market practices and data analysis.
Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies and procedures, laws, and regulations governing pay administration Demonstrated ability to understand and respect the sensitive nature of information and navigate complex situations and tasks in a discrete, effective and efficient manner.
Strong understanding of data management including data mapping and importing/exporting data between external and internal applications.
Working knowledge of all HR functional areas with an emphasis on EEOC laws and requirements, federal and state wage/hour employment laws.
Demonstrated ability to work on concurrent projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
