Capital One is seeking an experienced Content Designer / Copywriter to join our growing marketing strategy and associate experience team within Total Rewards. This team member will thrive in a fast-based, entrepreneurial, tech-first company and help reinvent our associate pay and benefits experiences through design and delivery of engaging, insight-driven, results-focused communications.
You’re a content strategist and LOVE writing and creating solutions that actually help fellow human beings. You write in plain language, and you’re a natural storyteller. You’re a word nerd, and what you love most about words is the sparkling clarity they create. You’ve got experience doing research to see how real people are using what you created. And the prospect of “bringing humanity and clarity to every conversation we design” has you intrigued.
You’ve worked in corporate communications and have a passion for internal communications. You understand how to take technical content and make it easy to understand, whether that’s communicating to business leaders, executives, project teams, or front-line associates. You know how to target messages that compel action and engagement.

Actively participate on project teams with a focus on compensation and benefits communications
Develop and manage content communications plan for Total Rewards programs with a focus on compensation programs
Generate compelling associate communications that drive program awareness and engagement
Through effective storytelling, inspire our global associate population to understand and use their pay and benefits programs wisely
Serve as an active member of the HR brand community, sharing insights, developing efficiencies, and advancing our ability to deliver consumer-grade experiences to our associates

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 6 years of experience with content strategy and development
At least 2 years of experience in corporate or internal communications
Master’s in Communications, Design, or related field
Experience in Total Rewards marketing
Experience communicating within Fortune 500 organizations; specifically content related to pay and benefits
