MACOM’s Compensation and Benefits Manager (individual contributor) will have direct responsibility in the following areas:
Maintain a competitive and practical global compensation strategy being mindful of having a consistent approach while incorporating regional flexibility.
Work closely in support of the head of Human Resources as well as relevant consultants to prepare relevant materials for Compensation Committee meetings.
Oversee annual administration of compensation programs using systems including; merit, salary recommendations and adjustments, and short- and long-term variable compensation
Oversee administration for all company benefit plans (Medical, Dental, LTD, STD, AD&D, Life and 401(k) and all voluntary benefits).
Keep abreast of compensation and benefits trends, regulatory requirements and labor laws.
Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefits plans, policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision, as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with company objectives.
In collaboration with Legal, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit and third-party administrators, ensure accurate reporting, budgeting and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations by subscribing to and maintaining an expert knowledge level about changes or revisions to relevant statutes.
Maintains relationships with vendors, brokers and consultants to assess programs and market trends.
Manage annual open enrollment for health and welfare benefit plans, including communication regarding plan information.
Ensure compliance and reporting across various labor and employment areas including but not limited to AAP, EEO, FLSA, ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, federal and state statutes, etc. Preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies.
Educate managers on compensation and benefits practices, policies and guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and Minimum 7 years administering and contributing to multiple facets of compensation and benefits in a multinational company.
Experience administering and implementing global compensation and US Benefit programs.
Strong knowledge and experience in administering compensation initiatives as well as comprehension of legal compliance, practices and policies.
Problem solver who is passionate about enabling growth and is able to combine their analytical skills with business insight.
Ability to work in fast paced, team-oriented environment
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail to ensure data integrity and quality.
Advanced analytical skills and ability to gather key insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
Demonstrated skill in use of Microsoft Excel; HR systems.
Experience working with and assisting in preparing materials for a compensation committee of a public company.
