DIRECTOR, BENEFITS - TALENT DIVISION
The Director of Benefits will lead the overall planning, design, communication, and administration of all benefit plans including self-funded health and welfare plans, income protection plans, voluntary benefits, retirement plans (403b, 401a, SERP, NQDCP), and wellness programs. Responsibilities include plan design and administration, annual enrollment, compliance (filing, reporting, audits, 5500's, 1094C, 1095C's, SPD's, SBC's, SAR's, non-discrimination testing) internal controls, vendor management, creating and maintaining operational processes, updating policies and procedures, budget management, overseeing the payment of invoices, analyzing claims, completing projects, and managing and developing a team of benefits consultants.
Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related degree
7 years of employee benefits management experience in a medium to large company, functioning as the highest level beefits administration leader, preferably in a Director's role.
10 years of direct experience managing health and welfare, and retirement plans
Advanced knowledge of benefit regulations and compliance (including ERISA, IRC, ACA, HIPAA, SPDs, tax filing requirements, fee disclosures, etc.)
Experience managing benefits projects, RFP's, processes, workflow, and achieving high quality and accuracy; experience configuring, optimizing, and maintaining benefits enrollment systems; advanced leadership and management skills
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills; prefer CEBS or CBP certification; prefer hospital industry experience.
