The Compensation Analyst assists in the administration of Rowan University’s compensation program and policies. Position will be responsible for conducting job classification, analysis and evaluation to determine title and grade of university positions. This includes but is not limited to benchmarking positions, survey completion, classification audits, reporting and related compensation functions.
Collects and analyzes market salary information through online tools and benchmarking studies
Participates in local, regional, and national compensation surveys.
Performs classification audit reviews of university positions
Uses external comparisons, internal equity, survey data, and candidate qualifications to determine and authorize appropriate hire rates
Conducts market analysis, internal equity, and grading of university positions
Performs ongoing audits and analysis of salary structure
Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Provides guidance to university personnel regarding compensation issues involving the interpretation and application of compensation policies and procedures
Provides reports and analysis
Monitors the compensation structure, policies and procedures and makes recommendations
Conducts job analysis to create job descriptions of university positions
Performs other related duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, HR Management, or a related field.
At least three (3) years of professional-level work experience in Human Resources, preferably with a concentration in the compensation, classification, or market analysis field.
