What You’ll Do:
Position Summary: As a member of the Human Resources team at VCA Inc., you will play a key role in the implementation and communication of compensation programs by providing compensation bench-marking, analysis, modeling, and reporting and by managing projects.
Implement comprehensive job framework by determining each job’s family/function/discipline and participating in calibration of recommendations with colleagues from other business units and gaining approval from VCA business/functional leaders. Perform complicated data analysis, interpret results, and present findings to stakeholders. Manage or support simple to complex compensation projects.
Recommend improvements to existing programs and processes and spearhead new projects and analyses Design and deliver compelling training materials and communications including creation of plan guidelines, internal process documents, and manager toolkits. Research and monitor internal, external, and industry compensation data and trends to ensure compensation programs are competitive, effective, and compliant. Provide compensation data and analysis to support acquisitions and other projects as needed.

Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience At least 5 years of professional work experience in Compensation supporting client groups in the U.S. and Canada Expert in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel; previous experience with building graphical displays of data
Previous experience as HR professional in a healthcare and/or retail environment Experience in implementing compensation function and programs from the “ground up” Familiarity with Workday, MarketPay or other pay survey data management tools Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or other HR certifications Management or HR consulting experience
