Washington Gas & Lighting (WGL) is seeking a Compensation and Sr. Compensation Analyst that will be based in Springfield, Virginia and report to Manager, Compensation.
Position Summary Recommends, implements, maintains, and communicates corporate compensation programs aligned with organization's human capital objectives.
Leads job documentation and wage analyses, making recommendations on a broad scope of topics from individual job pricing to compensation plan design.
Educates and coaches leaders at all levels to ensure understanding of the company’s compensation philosophy and practices. Provides consultative guidance or analyses on compensation questions and influences outcomes consistent with the compensation philosophy.
Develops complex modeling and analytics tools with a high level of attention to detail to inform and drive decision-making.
Analyzes and recommends salary levels for internal and external offers, employing a consultative approach when working with HR and business partners to bring context and clarity to compensation actions. Proactively identifies broader recruiting trends and issues, and consults with HR and business leadership on potential responses.
Participates in the implementation and maintenance of compensation systems, including system testing, data integrity audits, and data updates and maintenance.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's Degree in human resources, management, or related area required
3+ Years of Human Resources experience, inclusive of 1 year of compensation administration and broad-based programs, required
