The Emmes Company, LLC is searching for an HRIS and Compensation Analyst located in our Rockville, Maryland, Frederick, Maryland and/or Tysons Corner, Virginia office. Emmes provides flexibility for office location preference, dependent upon position.

The HRIS and Compensation Analyst performs activities related to the development, implementation and administration of the organization’s compensation programs, as well as designs and administrative tasks in support of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and payroll functions.
HRIS – 70%
Researches, designs, implements, and maintains HRIS solutions Provides requested data and analysis for AAP, and any ERC audits or projects
Ensures accuracy and integrity of all HRIS data
Develops audit processes and procedures for all employee inputs in ADP
Develops and generates ADP reports and queries as requested by customer base and those determined to be of assistance to managers
Oversees the administration of the semi-monthly payroll
Develops and implements solutions to streamline payroll processing
Works directly with Accounting to oversee the processing of payroll and other finance related activities
Communicates with staff regarding any payroll related questions
Proactively designs standard and customized HRIS reports for clientele
Develops, coordinates, and provides training for employees on changes in HR systems and/or processes
Compensation – 30%
Participates in and assists in the development of salary review process, performance bonus, and range structure review processes, encompassing development, implementation and administration contributions
Works with Compensation Manager on salary survey participation and analysis
Assists in the process of updating and maintaining job descriptions
Overall responsibility for the Emmes Spot Bonus program
Requires a bachelor’s degree in related area; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
5 years of directly related compensation and HRIS systems experience required
3 years using ADP at an advanced administrator level including payroll processing
Work flow process analysis and recommendation
Demonstrated ability to communicate with others at all levels within the organization
Ability to articulate industry best practices as relates to HRIS and compensation administration
Demonstrated analytical thinking skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Advanced usage of Excel
