The primary purpose of this role is to manage and oversee all compensation programs and procedures. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, compliance, policy development, communication and administration of all Monarch compensation programs. In this role, you will provide compensation expertise related to salary structure design and administration, short-term incentive programs, job evaluations, and market data trends. You will partner with stakeholders across the organization and play an active role in formulating the on-going compensation practices and philosophy. You will bring new ideas and innovative approaches to the organization, build trust and credibility and inspire solutions-focused approaches. This role is critical as it ensures Monarch offers competitive wages for the attraction and retention of staff while balancing the financial demands of the organization. This includes responsibility for driving compensation reward elements and utilizing analytics and other relevant market data to inform and recommend solutions to senior leadership for ongoing review and consideration.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Collaborates with leadership on a variety of programs, including compensation program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new proactive programs as required. Conduct analyses of jobs, base salaries and incentives to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of Monarch’s pay practices. Determine appropriate market rates for all positions.
Develop, implement, and administer compensation policies and programs, including base pay, organization wide wage structures, and bonus programs.
Serve as compensation consultant to department managers, recruiting and leadership.
Evaluate new jobs, promotions, and reclassifications and recommend compensation elements for positions, including base and incentive pay, market range, and placement within our global salary band structure.
Coordinates the collection and analysis of market data and salary surveys and conducts benchmark job matching across multiple survey sources.
In collaboration with Finance and Human Resources, prepares headcount, salary and wage budgets/proposals, and incorporates into accruals while implementing approved plans. Works with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the Workday system meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.
Create and maintain documentation around compensation rules and procedures, in conjunction with department leaders, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and HR. Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Consults leadership on recommendations for merit planning, salary and other compensation issues.
Maintain trainings as required and requested.
Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations.
Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures.
Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Driving and travel may be required.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; at least three (3) years directly related compensation management experience.
CCP certification, additional HR certification (SHRM-CP,SHRM-SCP) a plus.
Working knowledge of HR operations and administration and HR-related state and federal regulations
Strong organizational skills, the ability to successfully complete several tasks concurrently, maintain high level of detail, and meet deadlines.
Advanced MS Office applications skills, specifically Excel.
Working knowledge of HR systems, preferably, Workday and proven ability to learn new systems with ease.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
Ability to interact with staff at all levels.
