The Compensation Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and administration of competitive compensation programs that are innovative, compliant, cost effective and which support Covenant's compensation philosophy and strategic objectives.
Conducts internal and external market research, analyzes competitive position and market trends and makes recommendations for base salary structures, market adjustments and variable pay programs. Prepares written exhibits, summaries and recommendations for market adjustments and special pay programs (i.e. shift differentials, on-call rates, incentive programs.)
Conducts job evaluations for new positions to determine appropriate salary grade. Evaluates and analyzes market data, determines FLSA status, and maintains appropriate documentation regarding the review. Reviews requests for evaluations of revised job descriptions and develops recommendations. Follows appropriate procedures for review and final approvals.
Provide advice, guidance and training to corporate leaders, department managers, employees, and HR colleagues in the interpretation and administration of the organization's compensation programs and policies with a focus on service and designing programs that meet the business needs.
Participates in salary surveys to collect and analyze information on the organization's competitive position. Gathers data per requirements, determines appropriate matches for assigned client areas, and submits information to the third-party survey administrator. Conducts analysis based on the survey results and keeps relevant information on salary evaluations.
Acts as a project leader on compensation projects. Work may involve complex analysis of large data sets to provide comprehensive recommendations for all jobs across the organization including physicians and other clinical roles.
Participate in significant Human Resources initiatives. Maintain collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues.
Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry.

Bachelor's degree required in Business or related field
Certified Compensation Professional or on track to complete CCP certificate and/or other compensation course work a plus
Minimum of 5 years related experience in compensation analysis. Thorough knowledge of compensation policies and practices, as well as federal and state wage and hour law
Experience with Physician and other Clinical compensation
Experience working with an HRIS applications
