We are looking for a strategic Director, People Rewards + Wellness to lead the design, implementation and delivery of the Bank’s total rewards, benefits and wellness programs. Highlights of Responsibilities: - You will own the design and delivery of the Bank’s rewards programs ensuring modern, inclusive, human-focused benefits supporting critical life events
- Ensure alignment of rewards programs with the organization's strategy, business needs and culture; continuously evaluate and assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries and markets
- Lead the creation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance and the achievement of equitable and competitive employee total compensation
- Maintain the integrity of the compensation program with Navigate, the Bank’s career framework, ensuring the structure remains current and aligned to its pillars and guiding principles
- Mitigate legal and reputational risk to the Bank by ensuring payroll, workers’ compensation and leaves are administered and in compliance with applicable employment related federal and state requirements, regulations and standards
- Partner across People + Culture to build and maintain effective communication strategies to drive employee awareness and understanding of all compensation and benefit programs
- Plan, develop, prioritize, and implement the People Rewards and Wellness functions, structures, teams and performance to ensure continuous improvement, efficiency and intended impact
- Participate and contribute thought leadership to System-wide rewards workgroups and initiatives
- Support and advise on compensation related activities such as strategic new hire offers, promotions, budget allocation and top talent retention
- Own the implementation of all ongoing rewards programs; enable decision making with people leaders to make sound compensation decisions
- Participate in executive level job design and job leveling initiatives
- Recommend opportunities to improve total compensation programs, policies and processes to ensure they support the business strategy and help drive performance
What it takes to succeed: - Typically has 12+ years of business management experience; requires 8+ years of progressive people and business leadership experience and at least 5 years of experience leading major HR projects/initiatives
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR or similar field of study, or equivalent work experience
- Experience leading payroll, HR Administration, leave administration, that includes short and long-term disability, FMLA, ADAA and worker’s compensation
- Experience developing effective total rewards strategies that are aligned with organizational goals and business outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to cultivate long-term relationships both internally and externally
- A growth approach, sense of curiosity and dedication to the team’s success
- Ability to leverage data to make recommendations and decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong executive presence
- Ability to develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization and inspire trust and confidence both internally and externally
- Excellent business insight, strong strategic planning and analytic skills
- Ability to lead optimally with ambiguity, lead multiple projects through completion on time and on budget and to prioritize in a constantly evolving environment
- Validated attention to detail, organization and the highest standards for accuracy and precision
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience gained in an operational business area, in addition to human resources
