Role Overview: The Compensation Analyst will serve as a resource on day to day tactical/operations compensation issues and questions. Assists in the management of compensation programs and processes for all Self-Help staff throughout the US. Additionally, the Compensation Analyst will ensure the maintenance of accurate compensation and job information in the HRIS system. Essential Responsibilities: - Review all proposed and/or submitted employee status changes to ensure conformance with established policies, guidelines and equity.
- Identify appropriate market data matches for new and existing jobs.
- Prepare job analysis and provide recommendation for salary offers for new hires and re-evaluations of current staff, ensuring both internal and external equity.
- Actively participate in the annual salary review process including maintaining/creating planning spreadsheets and tools, participating in the development of communication materials around process, and tracking of increases processed.
- Prepare survey data for participation in market data surveys.
- Update HRIS system to reflect employee job and compensation changes.
- Create new job codes and set-up in HRIS system.
- Maintain most up to date benchmark market data and job matches.
- Ensure monthly reports are generated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Write basic reports in UltiPro to capture needed information.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal and state legislation related to compensation to ensure compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational data.
- Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary.
Credentials, Experience and Skills: - A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience and a minimum of 3 years of broad HR experience. Prior HR Generalist experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HR processes and use of data.
- CCP and/or PHR/SPHR certification(s) preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems; experience with UltiPro preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail and demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of Federal and State Fair Labor Standards Act regulations.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work. Process oriented: project management skills important.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and work independently to meet goals, objectives, and deadlines.
- Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to use PowerPoint to deliver presentations.
- Advanced Excel skills and an aptitude for mathematics, statistics, modeling, spreadsheets, graphing, report writing and navigating relational databases. Experience using Access a plus.
Physical Requirements: Frequently requires use of manual dexterity and repetitive motions, primarily with the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
